TOMORROW: Embargoed Press Call with EPA Administrator Michael S. Regan on Biden-Harris Administration Efforts to Advance Environmental Justice

WASHINGTON (Jan. 9, 2023) – Tomorrow, January 10 at 12:00 PM ET, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Michael S. Regan will hold an on-the-record, embargoed press briefing to announce the availability of millions of dollars in environmental justice grant funding, including some of the first funds available for environmental justice grants under President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act.

This is the largest amount of environmental justice grant funding ever offered by the Agency and will go toward advancing environmental justice in underserved and overburdened communities across the country. Senator Tammy Duckworth (IL) and Representative Raúl Grijalva, who were critical in ensuring this historic funding was secured in the Inflation Reduction Act, and environmental justice leader Catherine Coleman Flowers will join the Administrator for the call.
